Recently finished my Key Lime Green Formula. The car came new with the Key Lime color and it is growing on me. It has the original Matching#s YS engine and a Muncie M-20 and Black Deluxe interior. Hope you like it.

That will grow on everyone, like Quezal gold does.
And I love Keylime anyway!

Fantastic color…for some reason it brings me right back to the early 70s.

Thanks everyone.

Thanks for all the nice comments. I was considering a color change as I just wasn't sure about Key Lime but now that it is done, I am glad I kept it original. (Matt M.) also urged me to keep it original.

Beautiful car. More pics wouldn't hurt either. :)

Sometime around 2008, I bought a 70 Formula 400 project car. It was originally Castilian Bronze with deluxe sandlewood interior. The paint was dead when I got the car, and I didn't really care for the color, so I had intended to repaint the car Atoll blue. When I pulled the fenders off the car and saw the original color on the sides of the cowl, I really liked the color, so I decided to keep the car the original color. The car turned out pretty nice and I'm glad I kept it the original colors. Many of the 70's colors actually look really nice when done in base coat/clearcoat (including key lime green).

Dave, your Formula is great in its original color...love Key Lime! Glad you didn't change it (and listened to Matt's good advice!). Can you share more about the car, its options and history/story? We'd all love to know and see more!

Really nice to see these original color cars. May not have liked them real well back in the day, but really appreciate them now!
