WIW- gas pumps/trail 90/dirt bike

Daughter is starting college this fall and I am trying to avoid selling any cars if I can. Decided to liquidate some small stuff first. Here’s a few things I’m not really sure of the value on and would like some input.

Two matching gas pumps from the 80’s. Still have the insanely heavy pumps in them. Being that 70’s cars are so popular I was thinking in the $500 range but am looking for input.

1972 Honda Trail 90. Had a guy go through it and get it running good over Covid but have since let it sit. Rides great, not sure if it would fire up or not. Has a title.

1973 Kawasaki G5 100. Starts everytime, extremely fun and reliable. Has a title with it as well.

I thought the Kawasaki would be a fun first restoration for my kids but never really happened.

I see older mint condition, unrestored Honda Trail 90s selling for around $4,000 these days, they've become pretty collectible. That's at the top of the range; yours probably isn't quite that nice, but it's still worth some coin - I'm guessing maybe in the $2,000 range? They show up pretty regularly on my local Craigslist, check yours to see if there are any compatibles.

The Kawasaki isn't worth as much; while it's a neat bike (I remember riding one just like it as a teenager) it's not in the same class as the Honda. Having a title is a plus, most of them like that don't have one or it's been lost over the years. I'm guessing in the $500 range.

The bikes I’m not up on but the pumps I can say a friend recently bought a similar pair to use as props for filming and he paid $300 each for them, not quite as nice as yours.

The pump is very cool! Where are you located?

I’m located in north Houston. I bought the pumps like 10 years ago- a guy had 25 of them and I took the best two.

Good to hear the pumps are worth something

I was thinking around 2k for the Honda but had no idea on the Kawasaki. For $500 I will probably just keep it since it’s so reliable.

The reality of it is, none of the stuff will put a dent into the cost of a college education

Very true- I’ve already saved some and in a pretty decent spot. Basically I can get skinny for a couple years or I can sell a car or two.

Being that I would probably just buy the same car back in 10 years I would like to hold on to them. This is just a little extra. Luckily she is going to a state school TX so it’s about 24k a year. Not fun, but better than a lot of options

You could always auction them. As they say the market will dictate the price or something like that. lol
Good luck and good on you for taking one for the team.

The gas pump looks 80's-90's. As clean as it is, it ought to fetch near $500 locally. If it was an earlier Tokheim 1150 from the late 60's I'd def be interested. I regularly searched for the dual dispenser 1250 Tokheims in the early 90's.

On the bikes, if the Honda was a K0 or K1 Mini Trail, I'd know the market better.
The smaller prestige type Honda bikes have a much wider following

Those small Hondas are crazy expensive. I only bought these to get out of buying a dog. Then bought the dog anyway…
