Took the Bird for some more testing, and just wanted to drive the car, so i didnt do anything, but, put gas in it, and charge the batteries. Its been sitting for almost a month, and this is what it ran...
10.914, 10.869,10.874,10.842,10.858(on brakes a tad),10.874... Car was running great. Here are my 2 best passes...I believe that the air was starting to get heavy, on last pass.. Runs are in order... Here are the 2 best passes... last time shot, and 1st round elims. I had the bye, into the 3rd round, but someone oiled the track down, and they stopped the trophy race... The 10.874, was the last pass, as they were running the cars out of the lanes, in the right lane, only. Air was gettin heavier, but still 60ft a 1.458 on that pass...

little too close for comfort! Thats the 1st time, ive ever done that... Ive had some .002-.003s', but never a .000, in elims, or otherwise.

firechickenman 08-15-2013 09:23 PM

I had my 1st a few weeks ago too. I'd take .020 to .040 every time. That triple zero is just a bad job of red-lighting!

Brent Flynn 08-15-2013 09:29 PM

No kiddin'! Luck was definitely on my side,,, I had a .002, in that lane , earlier... I think the rollout was a tad tighter on that lane, than the other....

You have the car working well Brent, congrats!

Good runs!... scary close lights... Never hit .500 but started out one day at.498, then .497, and finally .499 in trials... wasnt happy... 1st round I was a nervous wreck and cut a .599...I lost...should have stayed home. Following week I was in my normal .520-.540's and never did any changes to car or light strategy... May have been the light position??? They had been crashed the week before.

Anyway its great to see the old stuff puttin down good numbers.
