WTB: Hatch for '74 GTO

It just occurred to me that this may have never been posted before by myself, or my brother, so I'm doing it on his behalf.

My brother has a 1974 GTO, and he cannot find a good rear hatch.

I believe that he has a spare, but it is nearly as rusty as the original one for his car.

If anyone has a lead on a good hatch, please shoot me, or him a PM.

My brother is HERE

Now, I would guess that this might be a 1968-1974 GM X-body part, but I have very little knowledge on 1974 GTO's regarding parts interchange.

Thanks!!

'73-74 X-body only.
VERY hard to find in solid shape, or even with minimal rust. I had 3 that I pulled in the 90's, eventually selling each one. Only two were totally rustfree, other took several hours of metal work to make it a nice piece. Nice black interior plastic is also tough to find for these hatchback models.

'73-'74 X hatchback lid

I remember a pair, close to fifteen years ago in the East side El Paso yard. One was rusty, the other was fixable. Too big, and bulky, to sell, due to logistics, so let them be. No place for trapped water at the bottom of the window, to drain. You might try the Nova sites, believe this panel/lid crossed over among divisions.

Check out this thread I posted a few years ago for the address of the yard. He had a hatchback Ventura in the yard and I think it was pretty complete. 6 cylinder car
