This thing is pretty cool. Lots of innovation. Anyone know it’s builder?

It is coming out of the front of the block of the block.

The alternator is mounted under the crankshaft. Pretty wild set up all together.

Pretty slick how far he pushed the motor back into the cowl
Did sumthin similar with my 29 HiBoy and notched the sides for the rear pipes https://i.postimg.cc/Pq9BVckj/hotrodemail1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/ZqQ9q61c/hotrodemail2.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/7LRVyGXv/hotrodemail3.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/JhHP43Yg/29fordhoodon2.jpg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TNEWpGrQe4 |

That front combination mounting plate/timing cover is unique. It looks like it's stamped Edmunds, and I believe that company went out of business in the 1950s so it would have been for an early Pontiac V8. I wonder if it's a piece designed for marine use.
This car reminds me of the Purple People Eater - I think it's owned by Alex Izardi and/or his brother Marky, they're in the Shifters car club in California (I also think Alex is a member here on the board who posts occasionally, hopefully he'll see this - he may know more about the car above.) Their car has a blown 316ci Pontiac that has been run at different times with fuel injection or eight carbs. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DwzmvdpUwAMCj-K.jpg https://www.hotrodders.com/attachmen...ter-jpg.60597/ |
