Anyone using them? Pros and Cons?

Got one it looks good but the quality reflects the price. I bought mine use to I can't complain.

What primarily don’t you like

We put them in my wife's Firebird years ago. We really them. We've had no issues.

i know this isn't procar related, but i've used various Corbeau model seats and brackets
only had one minor issue which they paid all shipping costs and fixed or said i could get it done locally and submit them the bill, but i sent back
they have some newer models that look good too
the last setup of brackets was made by the fella who made flofit seats, but he sold his stuff to, i want to say plantedtechnologies or planet, but not sure
he made the brackets even shorter for me since i am tall, and man... are they well built pieces too
one possible downfall to some of the Corbeau seats is that they sit high, meaning seat of the pants, so do keep an eye on that if you are tall. more of an issue in a second gen f body than other models from what i am told....
Summit has some nice Recarros too, the one i have my eyes on have built in hvac to them, not cheap, but look cool as heck
depending who you get on the phone at Corbeau, they can do some tweaking on the seat cushions too and fabric, but like i said all depends who speaks to you, at least that was my experience
I had GT7s, CR1's, and A4's
i liked them all, but watch CR1's, they do have a high seat height, not to mention adaptable to office chair bases, game bases, etc...

The fabric really are not really durable and you need to be careful as they're easily get damage.

i have a set in a 72 firebird, they are very nice, hold you in place & hug your body unlike any other GM seat of this era, aside from recaros in early 80's F bodies.

mine are black vinyl & the material is as good as GM, very durable & comfortable after 6 or 7 years of use.... plus they recline! the vertical stitching matches the the factory rear seats pretty good too.

they do come with universal tracks or you can order their tracks for specific vehicles but from what i read they sit much taller than stock so if youre a tall person they might be too high. plus they are expensive. i made brackets out of flat plate metal that allowed the original GM tracks to be mounted to the seats, lets them sit lower just like factory & function great.

I may have already asked this and if I did I’m sorry but I didn’t see anything on a search. Does anyone have any experience with these seats? Are they cheap quality because they sure aren’t expensive. Anyone have any pictures in the car?

not cheap at all, i,ve had a pair in my 74 ta for 15 years and they are very comfortable and are well made. just my 2 cents.

I picked up a pair of 4th gen Trans Am seats from the scrap yard for $350.
Basically the same shape as aftermarket seats and dimensionally the same as '69 Birds. They are comfortable and good quality. I'm sewing up the new trims right now. The vinyl cost me $50 for enough yardage to make front and rear trims. Used commercial sewing machines are pretty cheap or you can find a trim shop local to you.

i use the procar rally seats in a 72 firebird and am very happy with them. they are not cheap priced or quality, they are about $350ea now. they are very comfortable & the high side bolsters really hold you in place unlike most factory seats... plus they recline!

i went with the standard vinyl that seems to be very good quality & no signs of ripping, cracking or wearing out but they offer colors & i think a microfibre fabric or even real leather for added cost.

the vertical stitching matched the factory rear seats & door panel stitching of some mid to later 70's cars, i used some 78 firebird rear seats & they are a pretty good match. they make a low back version too for earlier muscle cars that used that style but i prefer the higher backs with adjustable head rests.

be aware the seat tracks they come with are universal & the bolt holes wont line up with the factory locations on the floor for most cars, they sell vehicle specific tracks but they are expensive & most say they are too tall for most average height people. i chose to make some custom brackets out of 3/16" thick plate steel to bolt to the seat that allowed me to use the factory tracks, the seats sit at about factory height.

Those seats look nice. They fit right in with the rest of the interior. I wish they made them in blue. I wonder what custom upholstery would cost?

Edit: I just checked a couple places locally and it's $600-700 per seat to reupholster.

thanks, i am very happy with the fit/function/look of them. they offer grays & reds, maybe call procar to see if they would make a set in blue?

They said no custom colors. Which is too bad because they offer some of their seats in a two-tone blue-black combo and the blue looks fairly close but they said no dice on anything other than their stock offerings.

Price wise looks like the same as core 69 firebird seats. It’s great because it frees up cores for restoration guys and gives good seats to pro touring , street performance guys who dint care about originality . Everyone I know who has them likes them especially the legacy seats that look like the stock seats

IIRC board member here Steve C. has "low back" style mustang sn95 seats in his 1970 TA that have been recovered in original comfortweave upholstery. They look great in the pictures and videos I've seen. Maybe he'll see this and chime in
