“Gentlemen’s Bet”

Seems that there is some interesting Facebook banter goin on...

There are claims being made that a certain RAV program (not rhyming with DCI) is the baddest (Pontiac) dudes around the Chicago area? (Please correct me if that’s wrong).

“Gentlemen’s Bets” are being made for Norwalk 2018. Seeing how some PY members aren’t FB users, didn’t want some to miss out.

RAV battles
CV1 battles
New Tiger battles

There needs to be some sort of race to establish dominance among different Pontiac Head designs. *Edit* I guess that would be any of the races already happening at Norwalk.

chiefbigb 02-06-2018 10:16 AM

E head battles?

mysticmissle 02-06-2018 10:53 AM

It will never happen. No two cars are in same class except for Kinsler and Valentino. And Sik goat and lil jack some outlaw class. Lil jack weighs 500 less than sik goat. And is 1/2 sec slower. So far.
No 5 cars in any “classes” Andrew ford can run faster than most with his warps Fulton car is fast when it’s running. Who else is ready to run with any of those new heads? Ed pages car is bad ass, highly doubt it will run a seven anytime soon. But I am rooting for him!
Tigers are doing great w Ausmus and Snyder, langer na. Anyone else close at that weight

Of course... just seems E-Heads are fairly established. Nothing much new going on there.

EHTTFMF!!!

Since the N/A H/U class has gone away it will be very hard to see it happen.CI to weight is real deal IMO.Tom

What kinda $$$ does it take to put on this or a similar race during the TriPower Nats weekend at Norwalk?

I’d be willing to put up some just as a spectator, it would be a good show.

They wants a NA race against his RAV motor.

Langer, Snyder or Dwight would hand them his azz.

End thread.

That wouldn't be a fair race, Langer, Snyder and Dwight have class legal cars.... :D

JSPONT 02-06-2018 02:14 PM

It started in a DCI post of his heads, and his competition posted that they have the baddest heads on the planet and are willing to race any car N/A for any amount of $$$.
They must have some badd azz car coming out, but unless it has been down the track you will never know.

See I went on Facebook and what I saw was a Post by Goatzilla Racing BELOW

All the questions over who has the Quickest & Fastest Pontiac and which heads makes the Most Horsepower can both be settled by applying some mathematics.
We hold a race event or make it a portion of an existing event. (like Norwalk)
All cars are separated into classes such as N/A, Nitrous, Turbo, Blown, etc. (maybe Injun size)
Cars are indexed by their weight so the Horsepower made with their version of RAV, CV1, Tiger or whatever heads they are running can be determined.
Example: 7.00 second class with average 3000lb car -vs- 3500lb car. 3500lb car gets a .37 second head start.
7.00 second class 3000lb car -vs- 2500lb car, the 3000lb car gets a .41 second head start. All easily done with your dial in.
We could use this data to compile the List and because the majority of Injun development has been in the cylinder heads, it would really help racers decide on which heads they want to buy for their application.
What are your thoughts?"

Nothing to do with DCI....just saying!

I think the claim was made by someone in the Chicago area about new Tiger castings, nothing to do with DCI (other than maybe Don was involved in the original Tiger, pre AP). That was challenged by another RAV manufacturer and seemed like friendly banter till a lot of peanut gallery got involved. Very evident that it's cold outside.

Then it comes here and is about DCI...I don't even recall Don being mentioned in the thread I saw...maybe there is another one.

There are 2 different threads on FB in the pure Pontiac no prep group. Neither mentioned McCarty or his product but him and his brother felt compelled to come in both threads and start talkin chit.

Nobody said it was to do about DCI.

That goatzilla handicap race is dumb as two CV1 guys racing each other.

It’s NOT about DCI. I was referencing a RAV manufacturer that does NOT “rhyme with DCI”, implying that it’s NOT DCI making these claims of bada$$3ry.

Sorry if it came across incorrect or was confusing.

PontiacMatt72 02-06-2018 05:30 PM

ANYway.

How much to put on a heads-up race at Norwalk during tripower nats weekend?

Would a no-prep race on Thursday night gain any traction?
