61-63 Parts For Sale

Casperson signed off on selling parts in the Tech forum. Lets try to keep all parts sales in the Tech forum to this sticky.

Poncho-V 03-20-2015 10:18 PM

Dave, just wanted to say thanks for doing this. We needed our own sections to buy and sell parts fpr our cars. Again, thanks!

63Banshee 03-20-2015 10:22 PM

Was actually Robin <rdtripn_rte66> who kicked this off weeks ago. Chris agreed to it. Looks like the Wanted thread got sticky status. Hope this one is soon to follow.

mechanickeith 03-20-2015 11:06 PM

They should probably be combined into one thread. Glad we dont have to hunt through all the other BS any more.

63Banshee 03-20-2015 11:28 PM

Gary suggested 2 threads. Made sense to me after pondering how I sell, buy and search.

Okay, I didn't realize how much I over paid for these. I guess when you need them you pay the price. Like I said, I don't need them anymore and don't want to see them get damaged and be worthless. If you need them I would sell them for $50 plus shipping. Can't go any lower.

4gc parts for the automatic

Just BARELY missed an Ebay auction today of a complete 4gc off a '62 Tempest 4bbl with the automatic trans and it had everything...dashpot w/bracket, throttle return spring bracket, and even the kickdown linkage cube on the linkage and has that fitting for the tranny vacuum between the 2 idle screws. My 4gc is pretty much all set to go, it's been rebuilt but man, that kickdown cube is one thing I wish I could've gotten, the first time I ever saw a photo of one. I had a guy at my work make a kickdown bracket...a longer version of the 1bbl bracket...hope that one will work and for the tranny vacuum, I made a hardline out of 1/4"brake line and beveled the end to go into the hole between the idle screws (the fitting itself is gone) and flared the other end to run a hose from that to fitting on the hardline.

But the noneless, I'm still looking for an automatic 4gc, even if it's just the base with the fitting and has the linkage parts. Dashpot's not important but if you have a bracket (I have a NOS dashpot), I'll take it if you don't need or want it! 2nd one I've lost on Ebay so far lol

DeeRock Lemans 04-17-2015 12:01 AM

Do you have any 4gc parts, Indiantony?

Poncho-V 04-17-2015 01:11 AM

4GC Parts

DeeRock, I have about 2 or 3 4GC carbs that I have used to piece together the one that is on top of my un-fired 195 4 banger. I have posed the question of what jets are factory correct, but no one seems to know. The 4 GC I ended up building is probably going to be way too rich,

DeeRock Lemans 04-17-2015 02:38 AM

Do you have the kickdown cube part for an automatic tranny 4gc and the dashpot bracket? As for the jets, I tried looking it up but couldn't find. However, I do have so spare jets if you need any...I can give them to you for free. I thought, though, that some fella here replied to one of your posts about the jets a while back and where he got the info from. The rebuild kit or shop manual (at least for the '62) don't say, either. Thanks

1962 Tempest rear tail panel molding

1962 (PONTIAC) rear tail molding
Location: auburn pa
1962 Tempest (PONTIAC) rear tail molding. All pins intact. Chrome is real nice. There's one very small imperfection on the letter (C) and a very small knick in the edge of the molding itself. You have to look very close to even see these imperfections but I want to mention them. Its a very nice piece for its age. (52) LOL. This goes across the rear tail panel under the trunk lid. The only one I've ever seen. $150.00 shipped. Can send pic via cell phone. can email direct tiacguy@verizon.net

63 Tempest Master Cylinder

2 Attachment(s)
I bought two of these on ebay several years ago figuring it was a good idea to have spares. They are new in the original boxes and I never used them. They were advertised to fit 63 Tempests. I don't know if they fit any other models. I believe I paid $39.95 each for them and I will sell them for the same price plus shipping. Shipping cost will be exactly what it costs me to get it to the purchaser.

Here is a few pics of the door panels i listed, passenger is really nice, drivers has a few small tears around window crank hole but easy repair and a little issue with one bottom corner where it may have gotten wet. Back panels are nice, these are still worth restoring for someone who wants original panels rather than the aftermarkets. I have a lot more pics i can text if you need.

Wiper arm Shafts and pivots for sale

3 Attachment(s)
I have a real nice NOS matched pair of wiper arm shafts for sale. These fit all 1961 Tempests and 1962 Tempest & Lemans. I am pretty sure that these will work on any bodystyle. 4 door, 4-door Wagon, 2 door coupe or convertible.

I would like $100 for the pair.

Peter Serio 06-14-2015 08:49 PM

1963 Tempest or Lemans Rear bumper guard brackets

4 Attachment(s)
Here is a matched pair of lower support brackets for the optional rear bumper guards. All I have is these brackets. They came off of a '63 Lemans. I am not sure if they would work on a '62. I do not have the chrome guards.

These parts are used. They are left and right side specific. You sometimes see the chrome guards for sale but often missing these brackets.

I have glass-beaded, primed and painted them. I took a photo of the parts before I removed them from underneath the car if you need to see the position along side of the frame rails. I would like $50 plus postage for the pair.

KJB 07-06-2015 08:16 PM

I have a couple items available that are cost prohibitive to ship. However, I do have a friend who is going to Norwalk and will take these items for delivery. He will only take them if they are presold and prepaid. So the prices are prepaid to Norwalk.

1963 V8 torque tube and torque shaft. This is correct for the 1963 with a V8 automatic only. The torque shaft has good bearings and the torque tube still has the factory insulation on the top. $150

Four original wheels that fit the 1963 Tempest and LeMans. The only difference between these and the 1961 and 1962 is the way the poverty hub caps fit. The 1961 and 1962 use clips for the poverty hubcaps while the 1963 has nubs on the wheel itself. I don’t think there is a difference if you are running full wheel covers. These wheels have a set of new Firestone 6x70x15 tires mounted. I wanted them in case I ever wanted to show my 1963 LeMans totally stock but I never did mount them. These wheels are available with or without the Firestone tires. Your choice but the price is the same with or without. $160 for the set.

GaryK 07-06-2015 10:44 PM

Hi Keith,
61's are the rims with the clips, 62-3 are the same. Your wheels will fit all 3 years.
