No I didn’t but I can actually see tire now up top. The jack goes under without having to find the sweet spot and it doesn’t scrape like it did. I haven’t really put it thru the paces but it didn’t scrape the places I went today that it used too. The spring combination is UMI 1 inch drop in the front and AC DELCO station wagon in the rear.

Well next Thursday I’m gonna make a 500 mile round trip drive to the Run to the Sun car show in Myrtle Beach. After I get back (18th) I will be taking my car to a local carb shop to have the carb dialed in perfectly to my combo. I wish I could do it before but he doesn’t have an opening.

You sure the local carb shop is any good?

Put a wide band on it and see where it is on your drive in all the circuits.

Wish me luck. I’m off on a 600 mile round trip adventure. Going to The Run to the Sun in Myrtle Beach. This will be the first real test. Please pray for me!

Absolutely amazing show. So much attention paid to the car and people met. Can’t wait till tomorrow.

Kewl!

64speed 03-16-2024 12:57 PM

Man this has been a blast and considering the headliner and back quarter boards aren’t done I didn’t expect this kind of reception. I am tired of talking to people though LOL. I had two people ask me for a price but it’s not for sale.

grivera 03-16-2024 05:32 PM

That’s awesome- good to see you getting well deserved enjoyment. The 64’s draw lots of attention- cosmetically, my Firebird is significantly nicer than the 64 Lemans but the Lemans gets way more attention.

EVERYTHING is for sale, just need to find the RIGHT price!Tom

Home safely with about 500 miles on the clock

Just an update to those that follow. Slowly plugging away at little tedious annoying things but other than the headliner and rear quarter boards the car is done. I have a slight driveline vibration that I think I’m gonna need adjustable control arms for so I will take it to the driveline shop and if that’s what’s called for that will go on the to do list. I am very pleased with the car and have almost 3000 miles on it.

64speed 06-20-2024 03:19 AM

Putting in adjustable Upper rear control arms to stop the vibration. Everything is going good. Car runs and drives good other than some tuning things that pop up here and there. I am very pleased and appreciate all the support I’ve gotten on this LONG journey.
