I did a decent amount of research on this topic, as I was extremely concerned with ride height and look. I went with Coil Spring Specialties LLC St Mary KS, gave them my car info, had them add .50 inch height to front .75 inch to rears. Extremely happy with the way it came out perfect height.

I installed the Moog 442 coils front and rear in 1998 - still good height and ride.
What surprised me was when I swapped in a Gen V 5.3 (398 pounds) and moved the batery to the trunk the ride height changed only a 1/2" as measured by the factory. |
I had MOOG 5372 for my fronts that I replaced

It has some rake too, again, not a very good pic. The front is about 1.5" lower than the back. This one is a little better, but most of my pics are on a backup drive now... . |

One other thing I was thinking about, since I like the way it rides now can I put some kind of spacer on top of the front springs to raise them a little, like those rubber donut thingys that go over the back springs? If I do so, would that affect the alignment etc.? Or what about the shocks with the springs on them?

235/60R-15 on 7s in the front and 255/60R-15 on 8s in the back. Rear springs in the back are original but I put Air Lift bags inside them. I run about 10psi in them.

I think the height in the front is perfect for my taste. With no air in the bags I think the rear is a just a tad low but just the 10 psi raises it enough to match the front. |
