Front clip is worth some money but it would be a shame to part out a rare WW5 even with so many parts required.

Could be upside down pretty fast on a restoration with or without a good parts car.

I posted this last year. It had appeared on AutoHunter.com and the seller had no clue about its original status....typical dumb dealer. And they still don't advertise it.

Another WW5 GTO that may belong on the Pending List

Hi guys, I’ve gone through the complete list of WW5 cars here and I believe this one isn’t listed yet. Unfortunately the listing on Craigslist has expired and we don’t see the VIN or documentation. Perhaps a little digging based on the article may find more info. Hope the link works.

PS: Thanks to everyone that contributes to this forum. I didn’t know about this option until I discovered this forum.

Welcome to the PY Forum Dave.

That is the same Brittany Beige with Green Interior 4spd that is for sale here in the classified section.
Owned by Alex S
There is some recent info posted here in this thread about it.

Its in line to be added to the running total when someone ( or I ) can do an update to the grand listing.
I think 3 or 4 cars need to be merged onto the list.

Ok great, thanks Baron. I hope someday to provide you with the details of another WW5 car. It’s one I have been trying to buy for a number of years now. It’s still with the original owners family in my hometown in Canada. It’s Cardinal Red, white interior, 4 speed, power windows, 8 track, rally wheels, buckets and console. I purchased the PHS Documentation. It has quite the story that I hope to be able to tell to a car magazine someday if I’m successful in buying it.

PS: You guys are doing an awesome job with this list, it’s such a worthy project.

Sounds like a great specimen you have found Dave.
Possibly a real survivor
Hope it works out good for you.

Hey All,

I'm trying to find a '72 WW5 GTO that I previously owned. It is listed in the beginning of this thread...

Attachment 630700

Full VIN is 2D37X2P129975.

My dad was the original purchaser/owner of the vehicle back in 1971. My dad and I found and bought the car back in 1994 and restored it. I sold it to Lloyd Coulson of Houston, TX in 2005. Lloyd sold it to Mike Marx in Florida and I was able to contact Mike who told me he sold it to a gentlemen in Sacramento, CA.

While Mike owned it, it was featured in a motortrend.com article...

https://www.motortrend.com/features/...2-pontiac-gto/

Mike said the person he sold it to occasionally is on this forum. If anyone has any information on the current owner and whereabouts of this car, I'd really like to get in touch with them.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

Lindsay

A yellow Automatic / Honeycomb WW5 just sold at Mecum for around 60 + juice.
My browser doesn't hardly work with pictures on their website anymore.
Will try to remember and get the link and the VIN ,, and post it here.

Don't know if we have it listed already or not.
Can only view a couple thumbnails of it.

Has anyone been able to help Lindsay out? He is now posting on Facebook.

Update:

I have posted my search on several Facebook groups (Lost Muscle Cars, Pontiac GTO, 70-72 GTO Judge Lemans Tempest T37 Gt37) and received some good tips, but nothing that has led to the actual car yet.

I spoke with Dan from the NorCal GTO club. The owner of this car is not a member. However, Dan did have a picture of this car from a car show in the Sacramento area from October 2014. So, that confirms that the car was in the Sacramento area at one point.

So I don't end up hijacking this thread with a lot of "Looking for this car" chatter, if anyone has any information on this car, please feel free to email me directly at slindsay.boone@gmail.com.

Administrators, if I need to take this to a new thread, please let me know, and I will gladly start a new thread to take this chat out of here.

I appreciate all the assistance.
