So, even though you can't judge a book by its cover, that is one fine looking engine.
Love the look of those RAV heads, the intake with the big runners, those injectors and those honking headers, just waiting for the big ass turbos

Hey Lynn, what's the combustion chamber look like in those heads? Pretty open? 40 degrees suprised me a little bit. If the chamber is open, though, it will really widen the tuning window a lot.

Curt - I wish we had GT55s on ours. Controlling power with boost is probably a bunch easier than how I have to do it. I can only get away with it because of the clutch. If it was an auto, it would be game over. CID doesn't mean as much with a clutch in terms of getting the turbos spun up, but it's everything with a converter. Stroke is king with a converter, so long as the tire can tolerate it!

Here is a picture of the chamber, it's ~81cc.

I believe that the biggest issue with your engine is probably heat. I am hoping with our improved water jackets and no siameze water jacket it helps with the sealing. All I know is his traction control better be hooked up.

my engine does run hot and im sure that doesnt help much

lemans411 02-01-2012 11:23 PM

my 535 made around 620 tq n/a. fyi . with a lot less flow i bet lol

Those new -- expensive -- shocks seem to be helping that tire issue - at least so far --The gt55 turbine wheel really helped the backpressure issue and reduced ex temps a lot -- Now if I gould just get a waist gate that will NOT stick ------------

Do you have any pictures with the lights on? And I don't mean the headlights.

We were very careful with it. The car was a little tweaked to start with, we're going to put it on a jig and straighten it out before we start constructing the cage.
