I have used dual Spal fans for decades now. Keeps cool everywhere; Southern CA, desert side of Oregon (high altitude, dry, hot), etc.....

I would not do that. Don't put a car cover on over a dirty painted surface. Scratch the heck out of it.

PS: To be complete, I did run a solid trans mount for a few passes only. Shredded the trans case. Lessons of youth!
