From what I’ve heard, this is typical on ‘64-5. They may not have replaced that joint and just used filler. This is a pic of mine and the LH side is the same. I may need to sweat out the lead.

Where did you get the mounts and hardware? I bought the mounts and spent extra for the "Correct" hardware kit from Ames. #3 - 2 1/4" all others 2 9/16"
