I used one from a 1963 that was pointed straight down on my 1955. That was over 30 years ago and has worked fine. Any one that points down should be fine.

A tale of two oil filter adapters.....

.....will be told here to show that you can use either the 90-degree or the angled spin-on filter adapter on the early '55 -'60 blocks.

The blue filter adapter is the 90-degree one used on B-body...
