In 64 and 65 you could get the M20 -or- M21 ,,,, with 3.90 gears.
My 65 3x2 3.90 car was ordered with M20 (code 9 on Billing History Card)

Different speedo gear than regular M20 that was coded...

I took the typed memo in the memo/blank section was for the gears.
Possibly put in trunk for dealer to install?
(maybe they wanted the M21 and the 3.90 but couldn't get it? )
