Any shop that tells you to drive a car with a leaking rear main seal knows full well they screwed up. Having worked on Pontiacs over 50 years, no rear main seal ever stops leaking from driving it....

I wouldn't pay until the problem is fixed. I'm sure you didn't ask them to rebuild your engine so it would have a leak. If you pay before they fix the problem you'll be SOL.
