If you want that much torque ( 550 ft lbs minimum) you will need to greatly port those heads or run aftermarket heads, and you will need to stroke the motor if you want to stay at under 10 to 1...

In general stroke gets you torque you can buy longer stroke crankshafts that will fit your 389 adjust piston dish as required for any given head and you dont need any whiz bang heads for cruising...
