That air horn should have never have been reused by whoever is rebuilding those carbs if not that company.

Just get a set of new intake and exh valves in the stock...

There’s no down side to running 14 or even 16 as long as the motor cranks over well when heat soaked and you can get the motor to idle as low as you need.

There’s zip for vacuum when your cranking the motor so I don’t see any point to the comment in post # 8 other then having too little base timing, or so much that the motor cranks slow.

The size of the chamber effects the level of idle vacuum you pull also.

I would also hope that with a cam of those specs that your running at least 9.5 to 1.?
