I have that on my qjets too, just some slight seepage or dampness when I pull the air cleaner, never caused a running problem or dripped down onto the intake so I just let it be.

I had no problem running 4 1/8" pistons in my blown alky mini-puller, using a '67 400 block honed to 4.125". Turned 8,300 RPM on most runs. I heard a lot of "Didn't know Pontiac made a 401".

Personally would not have an issue with .030 milled 6X-4's, & a build with a cam like a Summit 2801 on a 557...
