That thing has had detention at some point. X16 fuel is good fuel. I ran it in a very high compression engine without issue. I'd double check your time and make sure you have good fuel supply.

For sure it acts very "mild" in a 455 HO or Super Duty build. It's the smallest HR cam I'd even look at for one of those engines, even at or close to the "low" stock compression........

I have that exact same cam as Cliff posted. It’s very smooth idle and pulls strong from idle to 5500. Highly recommended cam, plus in my 5 speed with 3:23 gears I get 20mpg highway.
