Exact tire and wheel size I'm considering on the rear. Do you think 15x7 with P205x15 or P215x15 will work on the front? I am going with Inline Tube front disc setup. Are your wheels original or aftermarket? Thanks for the info.
I like the look of the rally 1's on your car and am thinking about putting a set of 15 x 7's on my 64. What size/width are the set on your car? Thanks for any advise you can give.
You answered a post 428 vs 455 2-21-14. You got into your 65 66 389. I have a stock 65 ws 389 with 093 heads and 068 cam. 3.36 gears and 4speed TP in my 66 gto. What can I do to speed it up in 1/8th mile. Will 3.55 gears help.---thanks
Depends on the cam, and what you determine 'street strip' to be. My old Sig Erson Hi Flow I in the '65 pulls about 14". The car is a 4 speed with manual brakes, so it works well. It would be terrible in an automatic trans car, though.
Thanks, Pete. The gauges were not powered up until yesterday. The pink wire had been cut and diverted to the SW aftermarket gauge. I only had power to the gauges for a few seconds, and when I removed power, the needles swung back to the left a bit (no longer pegged). I guess the gauges could be bad or out of calibration....the sending unit and wiring appear ok. Thanks again for your help. I just may get around to yanking the guage and shipping it!
Jeff
AT this point both gauges are most likely bad, it is very hard on a gauge to leave it "pegged." If you could remove your 4th pod & send it to me (the whole pod) I would be happy to test them for you. Gauges need to be wired to a sender, espically the oil pressure gauge. If not it tries to go beyond full scale,, this puts the gauge into a bind and can throw the calibration off. I have repair and/or replacement parts to fix any gauge out of any year GTO.
