Not a vet, but my dad was a USAF pilot, he served from 1953 until 1968, he was KIA in SEA. Huge debt of thanks to you veterans for telling your stories; it's helped me understand who he was and what he did. He was shot down a few months shy of my 5th birthday and unfortunately don't really remember him.

Question - did we fight the ground war with the same stupid ROE as we fought the air war? Can't bomb this target, can't bomb that target, etc etc...

Brother made it out OK, a bit shaken but not harmed. He was drafted into the Army, didn't enjoy his stay. Trying to figure out how to post pictures here?

Those "water wings" are an Surface Warfare pin. It means I was qualified to drive the ship. Parking one of those big things is a real chore.
