I pulled my vent off. I think I'm missing some type of plate that goes on the top of it.

Here's all I have that bolts up under the dash to the plenum.

I think I'm missing something on mine as the vent doesnt bolt up right, seems like a plate used to be in between? I'm not sure if it's the bracket in the pic next to one of the vents.

I have the plastic collar are you talking about the lap vent? between the vent and the lower dash wher it attatches to the diverter ?
