Good morning Cliff, hope all is well. I have finally got around to assembly of my 474 The last time we spoke you were helping me on camshaft selection. I decided on a Bullet Cams-hydraulic roller with 243/251 duration at .050. I need advice on which solid roller lifters to use, valve lash and if I need oil pinned lifters. Thanks again Cliff for all your expert help and advice.

I’m not sure of which lobe lift or center line to use? I’m thinking this Custom Grind should meet my target goals.
What do you think? Thanks for you advice.

Thanks for your help Cliff. I don’t understand why Butler would recommended an Extreme Marine Grind, unless it’s just the lobe lift that he was looking for. I think that grind and lift is probably 625 ish on HP. And the 111 LSA? I was thinking 112.

Cliff, I am building a 455 stroker and need some advice on camshaft selection. I will be using a hydraulic roller and was advised to use solid roller lifters. My target hp is 650 to 660 hp, pump gas, power brakes with street manners in a 3900 lb car with a 4 spd M-22 transmission. . Compression is 10:6 to 10:8.1. This car will be mainly driven on the street, and I would trust your advice over many. Thanks in advance. Jimmy
