    Jim,

    How are ya?

I saw your question about the shifter cable. If I'm recalling correctly, there's a "clip" not unlike those that hold the flexible front brake line to the frame bracket. It slides out and the cable is released. It's been about 30 years, so forgive me if I get it wrong...

I still "lurk" and PM friends with answers if I have them. But I'm tired of bantering with carb guys that think they know engines and sales guys that blow smoke up everyone's "collectives" about Chinese knock-off junk.

You know how an Indian brave always had to "earn" their warrior "name"? Well, last Sunday, Dirty Bird earned his! "Dances with elephants" was in a field of 6 TA/FCs (well, one was a funny car chassis with an old Bantam body) at Waynesboro, VA. We were the only iron block AND the only "wedge". We put down the third best ET and SMOKED our competition in the first round. Got a "by" on the second. "Bagged" an elephant!

    Jim

Dirty Bird is "on safari" (we're hunting elephants...)
