Good evening Steve

I have a dumb question regarding my carb issue which I have appreciated your thoughts on.

Below the primary float bowl their is a vacuum fitting which isnt plugged. The car has manual brakes and manual steering. Should it be plugged?
I did plug it and it made cars condition worse, car would not stay running for even a few seconds at idle.
