Default Valve Cover Baffle Location

I have not been on for a while due to various life changes but now I'm getting back to some maintenance on my '76 T/A (400ci).

The valve cover on the drivers side was leaking so I figured the gasket was gone, and it is. I took the valve cover off and cleaned it but now when putting it back on, I'm questioning if the baffles go on the top or bottom. When I took it off, they were on the bottom but after doing some research, I think they should be on top. *They may be called drippers, not sure.*

What is the correct way?

The drippers should be located above the rocker balls so they can do their job, so install the covers in the correct orientation to accomplish that.

That is what I thought but started to doubt myself. Thanks b-man.

Turns out that maybe the drive train was modified in the past because with them up, the rockers come in contact with the baffles so I put them on the bottom.
