There’s always some bargains that slip through the cracks. I would go if I was in the area just for the fun of it and pick up a few parts for my current projects.

I agree there might be some bargains... but with how much this has been posted nationwide all over forums & FB for so long, not much will fall through the cracks, if theres any valuable or rare parts, they will get snagged up real quick & bidding wars will ensue as every person there will be a firebird/pontiac guy... wouldnt be surprised to see ebay/barret jackson type prices.

Being Im only an hour or so away I will go just to check it out or at least watch the online bidding for the cars.

some of teh parts cars/projects went for realistic prices, 1000-2000, the nicer more complete cars went for pretty high prices... all needed partial or full restorations.

70 TA for 35k, 73 TA for 18k, 73 SD clone for 17k... 2 81 pace cars for 24k & 21k. Couple of my friends were there & said lots of people in the crowd were laughing out loud at some of the prices. Parts went for higher ebay type prices too.

Heres a link to see the sold prices of the cars. https://www.proxibid.com/VanDerBrink...catalog/244532

The Indy and NASCAR TTA’s brought surprising money. I would have bought the 86 square body 3 + 3 for 1k. Seems like a bargain.

Yeah I was happy to see the pace cars did good. My friend said the 81's interiors were pretty nice but the bodies needed some work/repaint and engines were in unknown conditions.

Most the cars had very little info/details on things like running engines, you had to do your own inspections and they only allowed a few hours the day before and a couple hours the day of to view the cars.... basically zero info on the cars for online bidders & only 1 far away pic of each car.

I was a player on that 70 RAIII for all of 5 seconds. Jeez they got good money for that.

I went to the preview day the day before to look at the 1979 400 4 speed car, which i bought online. In my opinion the junkiest stuff brought crazy money. Also in the two hours it took me to get there and pick up my car, some miscreants stole the 4 speed shifter knob and tried to steal the radio . The location the auction was held was terrible, not enough space for the people they attracted, i chose to bid online as a result.

Anybody know what the engines went for? Looked like there were three 988 block 400s and three bare 455 blocks in crates. Tons of 403s and 557 block 400s.

I would have been in for the 88 1-Ton 3500 Scottsdale pickup for $500
--- if it were in my vicinity .

Shocking what some of the junky stuff sold for , and that some of it even sold at all.

The 69 Camaro carcasses were pretty insane.

Right now its solar gold, paint is not that bad. It was originally bright yellow, somebody had it competantly repainted at some point. I would bet it had bad factory paint from van nuys. Sheetmetal is very nice, certainly better than the 1980 ive been working on for years. Engine is going to have to come out though, its seized up.
