Tom,
► 428 * 2.64 = 1129.92

I don't know what the max HP the Picketts made was. I do know that many years ago you sent me 2 dyno sheets and max HP on one of those was 1019.1 @ 9400 RPM which is 2.38

Let me also add since it was talked about in a different thread. That was at a 600 RPM / second acceleration rate.

No ra4 or ra5 has come remotely close that I'm aware of. Unless you can't Langer but his valves aren't straight any more either

Does anyone think that if Pontiac was in business today they would not have gone in that direction a number of years ago.

Do you know if Pickett's engine was a short deck block? I seem to remember it was. Either way, that that's an impressive number.

Tom,
I am guessing I got this from you. Bore = 4.35" Stroke = 3.6" Rod = 6.2"

Stan, can you provide the TQ Plot. I read into TQ vs RPM alot better. Reveals cam activity vs "optimal" activity.

1307 with race oil at 8500 and 904 at 7000. Averages over 1290 in the power band with a single 4.

John,
You really kicked the torque curve in the arse. That is a 45 HP gain @ 7000 very nice.

I get it.
Just wondering what is the best HP per ci of a "normal" Pontiac engine ?
I have not heard of any Warp-Cv engine making more power than Mikes engine, let along Langer.
All the R&D that guy has done on his own dime he should get free AP stuff for life.
I remember all those names from years ago that you thought were die hard Pontiac guys, only to end up with a Rat under the hood.
Laid over valve or not, still a Pontiac. Took a Pontiac head and modified it.
Not a Ford head and make it bolt on. There is a difference.

I think if they were left to do what they wanted to the engine might have looked like that 1970 427 SOHC Hemi that they made some sort of a effort at.
Running engine or not, some say it was only a mock up.
They would have changed things if just allowed to do it. Forward thinking.
