Can Anyone ID this vintage camshaft?

Trying to figure out what this cam is. It would make sense for the timeframe if the 576 on top was a May 1976 date code.

Does anyone know what the maker's mark stamping is?
C surrounding an M, or maybe an M inside a circle?

I'm thinking either Camshaft Machine or Melling?

Thanks for any insight on this.
