Can anybody please tell me if 15 × 8 Snowflake rims can accommodate a p 2 45 60 r 15... I'm wanting to order the BF good rich radio T a's but I'm not sure about the size of the tire... I like the p 2 45 60 r 15 they are wide and sexy

yes they will fit & work fine. most run a 255/60 as its the closest to the original height of the 225/70's but is a little wider. the 245 is shorter than the factory 225/70.
also, be aware that lots of BFGs have white letter issues where they dont clean up to bright white like all other RWL tires or older BFG tires. i have had 3 sets replaced in the last ~10 years & about to have the 3rd set replaced because they still have the issue, its better than the previous sets but still not right. some sizes or batches are ok based on what ive read but far too many have problems. heres a pic showing how bad they are, scrubbed the crap outta these with wesleys bleech-white that gets all other tires letters bright white like paper, compared to the 20 year old bfgs that i use as rollers & havent been washed in 8-10 years. in a month or 2 with minimal miles they get even browner. the new ones look like crap! its a gamble buying bfgs today & they are priced higher than other tires but have an outdated tread design, others like m/t radial st or even a cooper cobra have higher speed rating & no letter problems & are priced better. firestone indy 500 are available again in some sizes. |

I put new rims and 255/60 BFG's on my '78. Here are two pixs of the WLT from July. Still look the same today. Have another '78 with the same tires new 2 yrs. ago and look the same.

my 1st set was bought about 2010, not only were the letters beige, they were rough like a cats tongue & not smooth like they should be. definitely defective or blems but sold from an authorized dealer as new. 2nd set was replaced by BFG within 2 years of that with same issues if not worse. 3rd set was replaced in 2018 & they were better but still beige as shown in the pic. i have owned RWL tires for 30+ years & never had this probelm, most clean up with soap & water, some take bleech white but they always clean up to bright white. i have tried all other options to clean them, SOS pads, even lacquer thinner on the letters on a clean rag, it helped but they turn beige in a month or 2. i spoke to a manager at bfg/michelin about the ongoing issue in 2018 & he admitted they were having issues, blamed it on the mold release agents & anti ozone agents used in the tire... but all modern tires have anti ozone agents & none of them do what these did/do. easy to do a quick google search & see all the complaints about this, even quite a few members on here had the problem, i helped one or 2 guys get them replaced. still a possible crap shoot buying these bfg tires, they look good but there are better tires for less $. im hoping the 4th time is a charm & that bfg/michelin has fixed the problem! |

I just wish they still made 265-50-15s!

BFG Comp T/A's, Skip???
Bought a pair of Comp T/A255-60R15's, they didn't last long. 255-60R15 Wingfoots & Eagle NCT's were my normal purchase.

I find the Cooper GT to be a better tire compared to the BFG. The radial TA tires feel like you are on a rolling bouncy-house.

The BFG look good, in a retro way. And that's where the positives end.

Yep BFG 265-50-15 put a fair amount of street miles and aut0cross miles on them . Short sidewall. Did mess speedo up some so my 78 really does not have 76K on it

They're also super easy to break traction, so all the 403 and low comp 400 owners can feel like they have tire shredding power! Granted, it's due to poor grip, but they look good and make smoke so suit the late 70s t/A's perfectly. All show, no go (and yes, I have them on my 403 tata).
