Default Please help a Pontiac Newby

Anyone in Kingman area can HELP: Anyone in the area can help blow the parts book cobwebs out of my brain (think it may still be there) as am going to put a 59 389 in place of the 287 and swap the original auto for the CC Hydro that came with it. Help, Help, Please.

You may have more success posting this in the "1960 and older" tech section.

Not quit sure of your trans swap. If you use the 389 with the 55 trans the flywheel will need to be machined slightly on the back side as there is a 'bump' of metal on the 389 that will make the flywheel wobble. I learned the hard way.
