Besides Ron Howard I believe she was the last one from the show. I know that we all have a time but it makes me sad to know all those people who made us laugh are gone. I still love watching those re-runs.

95 was an amazing amount of lifetime. wow
My favorite Thelma Lou moment was They were somewhere in a room (maybe the backroom of courthouse) lights out - having some Fun Someone (probably Andy) comes in - flips on the lights Thelma Lou is just sitting there nice and proper with her hands in her lap. Barney is in a daze - hair is all messed up - his shirt is mostly unbuttoned - collar is all out of whack and lipstick kisses all over his face. Thelma Lou was a TIGER in the dark ! RiP Dear Lady , thanks for the Mayberry Memories |

I think Clint Howard (he played little Leon with the peanut butter and jelly sandwiches) is still alive. He's Ron Howards brother and attended the Mayberry Days celebration last month in Mount Airy.

Probably next best Thelma Lou moment i can think of - right off hand
The episode where the "Skipper" from Gilligan's Island came to town for a bride (big and bustlin') and went straight after Thelma Lou [after "picking up" every other girl in town] She had that guy doing all sorts of wacky stuff against his will - getting him domesticated. He hauled azz - i think they called him Jeff. Thelma Lou's (dog-face) cousin coming to town was another great one. aka Ralph - the handyman woman from Green Acres off topic I never understood how Andy was able to keep refusing the advances of Charlene Darling . She was always ready to clean his clock at any split second. Why were "hillbilly/country bumpkin" themed shows so great back then ? idunno , they just had the right magic Mayberry , Beverly Hillers, GreenAcres Petticoat Junction was good too, but never as popular. iirc |

RIP Thelma Lou.
I thought I had seen every episode (multiple times most of them) until earlier this week when I stumbled across an early one where Andy was trying to sell the towns raggledy old cannon and made up a few lies to seal the deal.

The Cannon was a great one.
I was using references to it the other day in another thread. i remember the antique buyer actually re-donating it back to the town, after he bought it. But can't remember what they did with it after that. Everyone played their roles to perfection on that show. Barney and the SideCar Motorcycle . Killer Kool |
