Koni orange SRT shocks.
Curious if any of you have used these. How was the ride and handling compromise? I installed KYB in the rear on my '66 Tempest Custom wagon a couple of years ago, and I don't care for the ride. I have a 1 1/4 inch front stabilizer bar, and 7/8 inch rear one. I like a firm, but compliant ride. I previously had Edelbrock IAS shocks, and loved them, but they were leaking and are not available anymore

I've never had any luck with KYBs, the one set lasted exactly 200 miles.
Koni's are nice, and they last long(er). They have 'correct' valving, with no bouncy-ride syndrome. Bilstein's are just a hair under the Koni's, they don't quite last as long, and I have broken a couple. Sadly, mid-range shocks are now in the $150-250+ range each, and it's one area you get what you pay for. I will be moving to Vikings or QA1s once the ones I have wear out, see how those do. Not happy shocks cost so much, it kind of feels like the same marketing plan mattresses use, but it is what it is. .

Last time I used Koni shocks, they were repairable, don't know if they still are.

Appreciate the input. I have ordered a set. I never cared for the ride of the KYBs.

Can you post a link to the Orange shocks? I’ve been googling but can’t find them.

Got the shocks and installed them today. Great shocks!! I highly recommend them. Worlds better than the KYBs I had on there. I am getting a set for my Olds as well. They provide good handling, no floating or bounce, yet, a smooth ride as well
