Default Aftermarket 69 gto fenders

Anyone have any experience with any of the current aftermarket 68-69 gto fenders available? I have seen only a few reviews on some of the older offerings. Opg has a couple positive reviews on there fenders but they dont list the manufacturer. I had heard Golden star made a decent repro along with Sherman but again nothing really concrete on the review side. I patched mine but I'm not crazy with the results, I dont mind modifying the reproduction fenders unless there ridiculously bad.

Try the '68/'69 forum. You may get more responses there. I seem to recall that there were some pretty bad fitment issues with the driver's side fender in the door to A-pillar area.

I remember an old episode of OverHaulin' where Chip Foose was using his body weight to correct one of the fenders... That may be the same issue Greg is referring to.

I bought a 69 GTO and got one set of aftermarket new fenders, not sure what brand they were, and a set of used originals that needed patches on the bottom.Painted the new ones and could not get them to fit well at all.Ended up patching the originals and they fit nice..

Cut & weld, cut & weld, cut & weld and by the time you are done you will have more time & money invested then if you would have bought an NOS or solid used one and the Chiwanese one still will fit like hell.

I did not see any used fenders here for your ride

https://frankspontiacparts.com/usedparts/gtoparts.htm

You should call him to see if he has a line on a pair,or to be first on the list to call in case he gets them.
He is an honest guy who wont misrepresent his stuff. I have bought several things from him for my goat

Atermarket stuff aint the greatest

I did however buy a dynacorn hood for my 64 GTO and it is as close to perfect as you could imagine.

Well, I'm a perfectionist and maybe I'm being to picky on my stock fenders. I will keep messing with them

Taiwan makes some excellent stuff these days, better than US in some cases.
