Cooking with a Pressure cooker?
I used a Instant Pot pressure cooker for the first time and made Pork chops & potatoes.
After 15 mins meat was so tender it was falling apart! Awsome!

My grandmother used a pressure cooker regularly as I was growing up. I can still hear it whistling. What I'd give......

I have never used or even seen on in person. My understanding was that used improperly they were very dangerous. Always stayed away from them. 15min tender pork chops does sound good though!

Seems more and more people are deep frying turkeys, but a lot of people mis use them and either get really bad injuries or even start fires, not knowing how to use them properly. I’m old School my turkey goes in my oven with the stuffing inside not separate in a casserole dish.

I used to try cooking them in an oven bag but found covered with tinfoil and basting the best.

KFC uses what's called a pressure fryer. You can look up pictures of them online.

Used my pressure cookers all the time. I’ve got two Fa-gors( stainless steel made in Spain). Nothing works as well, especially when preparing homemade stocks and broths. Hyphen added to keep the *** at bay.

Every woman in my family growing up and my wife now used/uses pressure cookers. All of them used the old fashioned kind but my wife has that new Instant-Pot now and loves it. Cooks just about anything in no time flat. It's easy to overcook things in it at first. Not burned but falling apart.
They are safer than the old school cookers because they won't even work unless the top is on and sealed properly. None of them are dangerous as long as you keep the vent hole clean. Stuart is right about KFC...it's a pressure FRYER. Lots of restaurants use them for frying chicken.

I use my instant pot several times a week! Great for cooking rice, hard boiled eggs, potatoes, and a laundry list of other things. If you have an IP, try this recipe: https://www.skinnytaste.com/instant-...er-easy-salsa/

Remember walking home after school on those cold days, and this thing would be rattling and whistling on the stove. That meant something good was coming for dinner !!

Yes I kinda did the same with the pork chops.
Pan seared them & finished them up in the pot....just had leftovers....still fantastic!
