Red velour. It doesn't get any more 80s than that.
302 or 351?
Nice, 3 pedals!

Ain't that somethin'! Big truck like that with an inline six.. I'm a V8 guy to my core, but that particular inline six is one of the best in the business.

I once had a 85 Ford. Slightly different. Was a non turbo diesel and a gutless pig but filled the roll it was built for until the brakes went out and had to nose it into a retaining wall to stop it.

Beautiful old Ford!

Since we're sharing pics of our old Fords, here's a pic of my 94:

These square body fords are really gaining popularity.

I used to hate red velour interior.... now I think it’s awesome.

Ford advertised their pickups back in the day to get 20 MPG, with that particular engine. Yours may not do as well, being a heavier weighing 1/2 ton.
We had a 1980 F100 at the parts store that I worked at. Had AC, PB, PS, standard cab, 8' bed, had the 300 6 banger with a C6 trans. MPG was not even close to 20. For some reason it had the large case higher amp alternator on it. You had to keep the alt belt way tighter that I thought necessary to make the alt function properly.

Hope yours works out to what you desire. I have a 85 F150XL, it's my trash truck. It has the 351HO engine, and it IS a HO, you fill up the oil and check the gas, Someday I will drive it to the scrap/recycling place and leave the whole thing with them!!!

That's a super nice truck, what an interior. Plus, you can change the spark plugs without removing the heads like those 3-valve Tritons. Hard to beat the 300-6. Ah, the good old days.

I have an 84F150. Had 94000 original when I bought it 5 years ago. Now has 114,000. No where even close to looking like yours!

Nice truck! Had a 1984 van with the 300 '6' in it and it was a very good motor; lots of torque and ran pretty smooth for an inline.

Dad bought a new 1979 F150 4x4, 300 six, 4 speed, with AC and 350 gears, always got 18 mpg on the hiway. GREAT drive train combo.

Nice looking truck, I'm a ford truck guy. I had an 84 but it was the base model. v6 4 speed, ran great most of the time. That was back in the day when you could open both doors and hose things down. I always liked the upscale models. My brother had an 85 2 tone brown and tan, I think it was call a lariat back then. Top model. Always thought the dual fuel tanks were kinda silly though.

No, silly is calling an inline six a V6. Dual tanks are awesome. How could one not like having more fuel capacity rather than less?

It's nice having dual tanks. My 94 carries a combined 35 gallons.
