Las Vegas
When I got up this morning it was 20 dead and over 100 injured, now it's over 50 & 200. Video is horrific! Crowd fencing used as emergency stretchers, pickup trucks as ambulances!
Heaven help them! WTF!

My brother and sister in law where at the Mandalay resort Saturday night for a concert. I was freaking out that they were still there, but they came home before the shooting started.
I'm with you Don, wth makes somebody do this??? Prayers go out to all the families of this!

Ive got a couple of people not responding. I tend to think they are probably asleep. Most of my friends would have to be held at gunpoint to be made to attend a country music festival, which makes me rest a little easier I guess. But I am worried all the same.
Its a bananas situation though. One of my close friend has a friend who was shot in the elbow with her mother next to her being shot in the chest. The mother was obviously in critical condition so she was prioritized and ambulanced first. But now they cant find her. People got spread to hospitals as surgeons were available I guess and it has not all been sorted out. I cant imagine being the daughter or the husband and not being able to locate you grievously wounded mother.

How in hell can someone 64 years old get ahold of a machine gun and do this. He was even on the FBI's watch list. They went into the 2 rooms he rented at the hotel and found 10 long range rifles. He was there since September 28th. The maids should have seen them. Why in God's name didn't they do something before he did this? This was way beyond pure evil. Edit: Now 58 dead and 500+ injured

A cousin of a coworker of mine was at the concert last night. She hid under a concert-vendor's truck when the shooting started, and thankfully is ok.
I heard from another coworker this morning who watched the local news (NBC affiliate in Phoenix, AZ) that the guy was the former owner of a large pool business which went bankrupt during the recession. His former co-owners/executives were being questioned by police morning, including his secretary who is in Europe now. Maybe pissed off at the world for losing his business? Still doesn't make it right of course. I haven't heard this info anywhere else, so I don't know if it's true. I hope any victims of this tragedy heal quickly (physical and emotional wounds) and my prayers to everyone. |

It's not the Bible, Though references and credibility are garnered from it by the perpetrators of.heinous acts. But it really is evil by any description old or new. It's just the new evil. The internet, mental and social issues, the world. Exacerbated by the fact that you're just gawdam broken. The deceit sure is the evil part, though.

I can't understand why machine guns are legal in Nevada for individuals. They are not under US Government law.
