Local ad for 50 Chieftain
1950 Pontiac Chieftain Catalina Silver Streak
http://westslope.craigslist.org/cto/5752557014.html I wish that I had a room for it. If anyone has interest, I am less than a mile away from it. |

My Step-father had one of those when I was a kid... in black with 3 on the tree too. My mom couldn't drive it because of the 3 speed.

That would be a great Route 66 car.
It would get 22+ mpg with a 301 and some tall gears. All the not working stuff would be easy to fix too. |

Beautiful car. I'd re-do the front seat and drive it as-is! Too nice to restore...a real time capsule. It's an automatic though....a three speed would be better IMO. Never see these anymore....not 2dr hardtops.
