Default My Dad's 39 Silver Streak

My Dad had been wanting a hot rod since I was a kid.

When I was little he always had cool cars, but he always wanted a 30s hot rod.

Finally he found something that was a good deal and pretty much what he wanted (not a project, but something he could build on).

He found a 39 Silver Streak (350 chebby, TH350).

My brother and I went on a road trip to pick it up.

ITs a pretty slick ride









He wants to add power disk brakes, power steering, AC and an overdrive transmission.

Very cool!! a lot like my 37 except that his is a a hell of a lot shinier!! looks like fun!
What kind of front end does it have?

Its got A-arms and coil springs, it needs some work, the previous owner had welded the shock to the a-arm...

That was the first thing I poked at my dad about, putting in a 455 and a 5 or 6 speed manual, haha
