Traditionally referred to the bigger bodied Pontiacs - B-bodies - compared to the smaller and more sought after A & F bodies. Pretty much any big Pontiac (Chieftain, Bonneville, Catalina, etc).

The big cars are great. I enjoy them as much as my GTO. But that word is gay, IMO. I will never call my car that.

No, "darksider" is a compliment....NOTHING "gay" about it. We "darksiders" operate on the "dark" side of the PMD world. We love vehicles that most folks dismiss as too large or too slow. Too bad they don't know the JOY of opening the secondaries on a Bonnie with a 455.

Darksider MMMMMMMMmmmmmmm

Being married to a lovely Thai girl and being a visitor to Thailand every year,You do not proclaim to be a" Darksider"because a darksider amongst the ex pat community means you go with "Ladyboy",and those that do go with ladyboy think that they are not gay MMMMMMMmmmmmm

Note to self ,do not take darksider t-shirt on next trip..

I don't really like the term/word Darksider myself....but I guess I are one.
I prefer to be known as a Bad A$$ Big Brother.. We used to call guys that dumped Cheby motors in A & F bodys as "Darksiders"..??You know...going over to other side(Darkside). Got all the respect in the world for A & F bodys but just went for G body myself..

BTW:58's are cool...evey one rolled off the assembly line with a forged crank...IIR right..

"You can't resist the call of the Darkside !"

Not as widely used but it also refers to putting NOS on an engine.

Proud Darksider Jim

BTW: The long nose GPs are one of the best-ever Pontiac designs, love that style.

Welcome to the Darkside.
