Default Shock Choice

What shocks do you like on your 2nd generation Firebirds? KYB's work good on my GTO's. Are they a good choice for an F body?

KYBs are very harsh on compression and rebound. I use Konis on my '72 TA, but if I didn't drive it on the track I would chose Bilsteins which provide a nice controlled street ride without harshness.

I've had my 70 Formula for almost 40 years now, and have tried a number of different shocks.

The best by far (for handling on the street, without compromising ride quality) are Bilstein.

I am assuming that you are driving on modern radial tires, by the way. If not, these may not be that good a choice for you...
