Default TCS Switch

I'm trying to figure out which TCS switch is correct for a 73 TA with a 4 speed. The one I am unsure of is the one on the transmission.

Anyone know how many terminal spades are on it and if it has a part number?

Thanks...

This might not answer your question but our host has the TCS switch on sale now, check the Firebird & TA Specials

GME47A - 1970-75 TCS Switch
Price In Stock? Qty in Cart
16.50 Yes
This is the PIN style TCS switch that mounts into the MANUAL transmission covers on all Muncie M20/M21/M/22 & Borg Warner T10 transmissions. This transmission spark control switch fits most all GM models. When you shift into 4th gear this switch advances the timing of the distributor for better gas mileage and driveability. Use GME47S for spade style switch.

I thought I'd revisit this one after having to replace the one in one of the '74s. I bought a '73 400 engine/4 speed transmission combo a few months ago and thought I could just use it. Now this '73 had the switch in the 1-2 arm, not the 3-4 arm and wasn't sure what was up with that. The early switch was PN 490751 (dated F302, June 30, 1972) and is stamped on it. The later PN is 494366 (dated 113, don't know if it's Jan. 11, 1973 or Apr. 23), which was probably used after the EPA caught them.
