Speaker Re-coning
Has anyone had their speakers re-coned? I am looking at getting my rear speaker re-coned and looking for any input/referals. Anyone to stay away from?
Thanks, Pepi

Pepi,
I had four speakers re-coned through this fellow. 3 fronts and 1 rear. He is listed in Hemmings and not far from me. (RADIO service: auto tube or transistor type, all makes, expert work, prompt service, 40 years' experience. Ron's Radio Service, 199 Jake Moore Rd, Dallas, PA 18612; 570-675-7830.) He Doesn't do them in house though, I believe he works with a guy in NJ. I have only installed two of the speakers that were re-coned but no issues as of yet. Here are two of fronts I have yet to install. These were re-coned only, not restored, If I recall correctly the four of them were under just under $150 and he checked my radios too. Dave
