Honestly I think it's a total disgrace.

I am a BIG fan of the Stooges. They were absolute genius' at what they did. If you truly watch Curly and listen to their schtick they were hilarious.

I just can't see anyone EVER capture the absolute humor they presented with what they did.

I have lots of their shorts saved to my DVR and about 5-10 of their DVD's. I watch them occasionally and now my 4 year old son asks to watch them with me. He doesn't get the humor but he does laugh at Curly's antics.

Sean Penn as Larry??

Jim Carrey as Curly??

Benicio Del Toro as Moe????

C'mon some Hollywood scumbag is looking to make a quick buck here.

I love the Stooges, so leave well enough alone..... NO one can do the 3 Stooges and pull it off. I predict a total flop.

If the movie is released -I Predict it will be a big hit -specially if Jim Carrey plays Curly .
He's got the right stuff to pull it off if anyone can.

I agree............but it looks like it will not happen if the news of him walking away are true.

I've seen the Mel Gibson produced TV movie and I thought it was lame. The guy who played Larry looked dead on for Larry Fine but the other two missed the mark.......especially Curly.

Jim Carrey would have been great!

Sean Penn would keep me from seeing it, although he could be made to look like Larry.

It depends on the premise of the movie whether it could be good or not.
Is it supposed to be a movie starring the 3 Stooges characters or is it going to be a biographical/true story type of deal about the actual lives of the men?
If the latter, I think it could have the potential be a fascinating story....If the former, a complete disaster.

Yes if done in the 1930's-40's era when they were the most popular -would be great .
