Default Restoring Molding

I need to know the best way to restore the metal molding for a 76 TA. I will attach some pics of the rear molding. As you can see there is some rust. How do you keep the grain pattern and remove the rust. I use evporust on a lot of small parts..will that work. Do you prime or just spray it, and what do you use vinyl dye or paint?

I'd bead blast it or have it plastic media blasted. Then, I'd prime and paint.

I disagree. Bead blasting will destroy the grain detail of the molding and plastic media will not remove the rust.

TransAmboy,

I am suprised you even asked this question since you say you have already used evporust. I think this is the perfect use for evporust, as it is realy too expensive to use on larger parts.
