78 T/A electrical problem help
I have a 78 T/A that stranded me. I thought the alt went out and ran the bat. down, so I put a spare bat in it. Nothing happens, no headlights no starter. I have voltage at the starter, but its puzzling me that I have no headlight or power to anything. Any Ideas?

Sounds like you might have fried your fusible link.
Follow the alternator wires to the front of the d/s valve cover & peel back the tape. You SHOULD find your problem there. |

Ive never seen a fusible link on the alt wiring of a 78, My guess is the wire that runs from the post on the back of the alternator to the positive battery cable, if this wire becomes disconnected you loose all power to the entire harness.
