Default Anyone going to the pontiac southern nationals in San antonio june 8?

trying to get a feel for car count at the track on sunday. we'll be running steve c's 505 t/a in the bracket race. i haven't decided if i am going to run my car since there is a clash of the titans heads up event on saturday at the same track and i'll be running it.
if someone would like to step up we could have a friendly grudge race on sunday. would be more fun than bracket racing for me and would be a good show for the fans.

I was planning on it till Steve C. asked me not to come. He doesn't want me to put you on the trailer first round.

I'll tell you what I'll do...me being a gentleman and all. I'll put up $100.00 and you put up $100.00. Winner gets the cash.

But....since I live 1,500 miles away you and Steve C. pay for my diesel fuel. .

I would really like to be there, and seriously considered it....but I cancelled all out of town racing when diesel hit $3.85 per gallon in February. I added diesel today at $4.94 per gallon. Also...a drum of methanol is $302.00 here....highest in the nation. If I'm not towed to the lanes I burn just over two gallons a pass.

Hey Skip, don't worry too much about slowing down ... If it continues the heat will take its toll, my car might not be running 10's....no big head start ! Hell if I feel well enough that day I might just take you up on it, but it been a few years for me.... you might need to give me the lengths

Ron, yes too bad you are so far away.... I'd put up the $100 !

The last time I had this motor out it was perfect fall air so 95 degrees will be a mystery for it,but my original goal was 11.50 in the Texas heat!

I realize this is the race section, but I'm gonna show my GTO Saturday and race it on Sunday. Hopin' for some mid-13's, grannie shifting, LOL!

Walter, unfortunately, won't be there.
He lost the thrust bearing in his brand spanking new 525 IA2 at Seguin on Friday.

I'll be out in the rust bucket... Rusty cars are not any lighter btw...

Hoping the clutch lasts - the Centerforce DFX isn't holding up like I thought it would.

Steve, since I have added some weight and the heat is up, my car has dropped three to 4 tenths....

I'd like to meet you, Jim. At the races, I'll be pitting with Skip and the rest of the Houston gang.

Already bought an extra ice chest and several cases of bottled water. The heat will indeed be BRUTAL!

The one thing I miss about living here, is all the great guys in the Houston area. We ran at Houston Raceway Park. I hope you guys have a great time there. Pinks is supposed to be in Norwalk this weekend and our local track is having their Muscle Car Sunday event. Hope you guys have a great time. Good Luck to all who are there.

It's hard not to have a good time when all these Texas Pontiac boneheads get together...

Lloyd,.....I'm not a threat this time. I'll be staying at my granny's house in SA.
Her beans brings out the best in me.
