Default Convertible Top Motor

Hi.Excuse my lack of knowledge but as I'm from the United Kingdom, could someone tell me what fluid to use for my top motor ? It says brake fluid in the '61 shop manual but referring to GM original product descriptions doesn't register in the UK.
If it is brake fluid, all we can purchase are Dot3 and Dot4 fluids for braking systems around here.
Any help would be much appreciated !

Dot 3 will work, but if you have completely purged your system, you can use automatic trans fluid.
You can check with Hydro-E-Lectric in Punta Gorda Fla. to be sure. I believe that they have a website.

I bought fluid from Hydro-E-Lectric about 10 years ago after having them rebuild my cylinders. The fluid came in a big jug. I still have about half of it. Seems like its some kind of oil.. At any rate I cleaned mine as well as I could and put that in and have had no problems at all.
